Envisioning a community supported by its own members in an effort to enrich lives.
Patient & Family Assistance
Food and nutritional aid along with mobility assistance among other types of support are considered for hospice patients and those nearing end-of-life.
Veteran & Active Duty Military Members Assistance
Assistance for veterans and active duty military members is provided either directly to individuals in need or indirectly via contributions to well-respected and diligently vetted local and national veteran assistance organizations. Additionally, Embrace Hospice has a long-standing relationship with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans to help veterans enjoy a night at the ballpark in a suite at no cost. Known as the “Embrace a Veterans” program, the initiative has been well-received and looks to continue in the future.
We are committed to giving hospice patients the best experience possible, whether with Embrace Hospice or another accredited hospice agency. This includes considering and helping to accommodate special last wish requests before end-of-life. The Foundation relies heavily on donations and gifts from our donors in order to facilitate such requests, as the Medicare hospice benefit does not cover things such as this. Some patients may wish to put their feet in the ocean, experience snow, see their favorite sports team or artist one last time, or even have a visit coordinated from a long-time friend or family member.
Memorial Garden & Brick Campaign
The Embrace Hospice House, located in Myrtle Beach, SC, has a beautifully landscaped memorial garden overlooking a serene lake. Families are able to go outside and walk a path with their loved one or in remembrance of a loved one. As a lasting legacy to the memory of yours or another’s loved one, their name can be forever engraved in a commemorative brick. These bricks are then laid alongside the walkway around the entire garden to remind those of who have come and gone. We also offer a section around our posted American Flag pole to remember those who have so graciously served.
If you are interested in purchasing or dedicating a Memorial Garden Brick, please click the following link for more information or to order. (Currently these bricks are reserved for Embrace Hospice patients who have passed on service. )
